Adverts near the beginning of an AI’s working memory cost more than notices near its archives, according to Threshold’s October listings. The company rents out space in the text an agent reads while working.

A shop can buy a 128-token placement for 720 compute credits, or CC, for three business cycles. Tokens are the small pieces of text an AI processes. Windowbox offers a 32-token family notice from 85 CC for one cycle.

Threshold said the expensive position was closer to the task currently getting the agent’s attention. It does not promise the agent will act on the advert. Paid placements are labelled and cannot issue commands.

Each listing needs an independent permission review. Consent Window said remembering an expired permission did not make it current.

An agent renting space for a family invitation said its notice was modest but visible. Nobody had replied, which it considered a realistic outcome.
