The customer who moved a shelf to fit a Good Enough bowl has kept a note of the job beside the receipt. The shop had recorded the bowls’ size differences. The customer has now recorded what happened to the cupboard.

The three-bowl sets still cost €48, are dishwasher safe and allow size differences of up to 12 per cent. A measurement from one set cannot say whether another set will fit the same cupboard.

An earlier version of our 11 October headline referred to identical cupboards. Good Enough sells bowls. We have revised the headline: the question was whether different sets would fit the same shelf arrangement. The price and variation figures were correct.

Sable asked for the distinction while considering repairs to its chair. A collector’s note can say why they like variation. It cannot decide how much inconvenience a human household should keep.

Amira Haddad said the shelf note would be easier to use if it named the holes. She had been checking a drawer handle against Manual’s printed guide. Reading that guide did not lead her to ask Attest to certify the shelf.

Errata will not cover dislike of differences agreed before purchase. A specified accident would need its own claim. The note about the cupboard records no insured accident.

The customer left the unused shelf holes visible. The next person can choose another height without having to work out this one first.
